The Alabama Real Estate Commission requirements for getting sales license are listed below in the order they are to be completed:

  • Within six months from the date a temporary sales license has been issued, an agent needs to successfully complete a 30-hour Post License course. This is typically a fun course because it is helping you establish your new business. It will provide you with tools to help jump-start a new real estate business.

  • Upon completing the course you must successfully pass a proctored exam that is given by the school. We do not charge for this exam; however since our proctored exams are usually administered by a public library in your home town, the library may charge a small fee to cover some of their expenses, at the most $35. Most libraries will only charge a fee for the use of copier and fax. The proctored exam is hand written and consist of 50 questions that you must correctly answer 80%.

  • Upon passing the proctored exam, we will issue credit for you with the Alabama Real Estate Commission. There are no more state exams.

  • The next and final step is to apply to the real estate Commission for a permanent license by completing the form we send you.
